I think surviving in a tropical jungle with no sunlight, no fertile soil for agriculture, intense heat, and multiple dangerous creatures trying to kill you would require more planning and intelligence

It also shows that adoption makes children lose 4 points of IQ. But I guess the adoption intelligence gap is taboo to you too so you won't feel the urge to mention that.

Europe had a climate that required constant human migration. By the time the world a thawed a little more, agriculture and the associated food storing came from outside Europe, from warmer climates - who happened to have lions (southern Europe, Anatolia, North Africa, Mesopotamia) and crocodiles (Egypt) by the way.

The supposed hardships that characterize Europe were, and still are, stronger in other places like Canada, Siberia and the Artic, and the natives there were displaced by Europeans except for the Artic where nothing much has changed.
