So if you hold a gun upside down like pic related, when you shoot it will the recoil go up to the sky or go down to the ground?
I think it will go down. Not sure though.
What do you think? Please explain.

The muzzle "climb" will end up actually being the muzzle pulled toward the ground. It will drop. This us because the recoil of the rifle combined with the geometry of the grip will put a clockwise (from our perspective) torque on the weapon.
