Ask a biochemistry professor anything.

My latest project is:

http://www.sperm.co.nz/

Sperm Research NZ is an joint collaboration by me and the University of Otago’s Department of Biochemistry to develop a variety of therapeutic medicinal and pharmaceutical products from human semen. With the help of funding from the New Zealand Lottery Grants Board, we will be constantly working to acquire and preserve fresh semen from sources such as used condoms in parking lots, waste receptacles, etc.

The website will officially go live at 00:00 NZT on June 10, 2019 (about 3 hours from now). I've still got several stacks of paperwork to get through but other than that, everything is looking great so far. My colleagues are currently in the lab setting all of the equipment and reagents up so that we can begin work by Monday tomorrow.

I'll be working in close collaboration with several universities in both my country and with Monash University in Australia to share research findings. A few weeks ago, our application for a research grant from the NZ Lottery Grants Board was accepted which means that we shouldn't need to worry about funding for at least another 3 years.

Unfortunately, I'll be doing most of the dirty work when it comes to collecting the used condoms, etc. We expect to get more equipment in later on (e.g. mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, thin-layer chromatography, HPLC) which we will use to isolate several compounds of interest in the samples. We'll also be working with several postgraduate students from the University of Otago's Department of Computer Science who are completing their PhDs in computational biochemistry. The hope is that we will be able to identify promising pharmaceutical applications that, if all things go well, we could bring to market by the early- to mid-2020s.

This thread will be active for about three hours from the time of this posting. After the official launch at 00:00 NZT, I will no longer be able to answer questions.

No.

Also, I just realized I forgot to use a tripcode. Hopefully this works...

I'm having a hard time taking this seriously. Why would you be collecting degraded and possibly diseased semen from random places instead of simply having your team produce fresh samples themselves?

I don't have the actual research papers with me right now but if Wikipedia is good enough for you then here you go:

>Spermidine is a longevity agent in mammals due to various mechanisms of action, which are just beginning to be understood. Autophagy is the main mechanism at the molecular level, but evidence has been found for other mechanisms, including inflammation reduction, lipid metabolism, and regulation of cell growth, proliferation and death.[2]

>Spermidine is known to regulate plant growth, assisting the in vitro process of transcribing RNA, and inhibition of NOS. Also, spermidine is a precursor to other polyamines, such as spermine and thermospermine, some of which contribute to tolerance against drought and salinity in plants.

>Spermidine has been tested and discovered to encourage hair shaft elongation and lengthen hair growth. Spermidine has also been found to “upregulate expression of the epithelial stem cell-associated keratins K15 and K19, and dose-dependently modulated K15 promoter activity in situ and the colony forming efficiency, proliferation and K15 expression of isolated human K15-GFP+ cells in vitro.”[3]

>Spermidine has also been reported to protect the heart from aging and prolong the lifespan of mice, while in humans it was correlated with lower blood pressure.[16] It also was found to reduce the amount of aging in yeast, flies, worms, and human immune cells by inducing autophagy.[17]

A related compound (norspermidine) is also being being researched for use as a cancer medication:

I don't like him and the sick ideology that he stands for. In fact, I haven't met anyone with an opinion of him that isn't complete and utter disgust. Thankfully, the kinds of views that he had are a very small minority in New Zealand.

The average person needs 2,000 calories a day.

The average ejaculation contains around 1 calorie.

That’s 2000 nuts a day or 730,000 nuts per year.

However the average ejaculation is 3 milliliters.

That’s 6000 milliliters or 6 liters a day of cum.

The human stomach can only hold a maximum of 5 liters.

Imagine your entire digestive system filled to the brim with jizz every single day, it sounds awful and I love the taste of cum.

To sustain yourself off of jizz you would need to be the ultimate cumslut.

Extra info:

The average guy takes 5.5 minutes to cum and 20 minutes to recover.

That means if a guy had to cum as his job he would nut roughly 20 times in those 8 hours.

To get 2000 nuts per day you would need 100 dudes working 8 hours a day.

That’s 800 manhours to feed somebody on just jizz for one day.

Assuming you paid them a fair wage if $15 per hour you’re paying $12,000 dollars per day to sustain yourself.

That’s $4,380,000 dollars per year to feed yourself on cum.

And even then you’d be lacking in most nutrients and vitamins.

At least you can make some guys very very happy until you die of malnutrition.

Dear GOD/GODS and/or anyone else who can HELP ME (e.g. MEMBERS OF SUPER-INTELLIGENT ALIEN CIVILIZATIONS):

The next time I wake up, please change my physical form to that of FINN MCMILLAN of SOUTH NEW BRIGHTON at 8 YEARS OLD and keep it that way FOREVER.

I am so sick of this chubby Asian man body!

Thank you!

I'd like to say thanks to everyone for being part of this thread. As mentioned in the original post, I won't be answering any questions from now on. It's 11:50 PM here and we've had an extremely busy day getting everything set up so we're all very tired and sleepy. The first post on the project's official website is scheduled to go live at exactly 12:00 AM midnight tonight (approximately 10 minutes from now).

Goodnight everybody and take care. :)
