Does /sci/ support eugenics? Why or why not?

Personally, I feel like Eugenics is the best option for humankind right now. Just think about what humanity could achieve if we could process language and math faster. When IQ increases, language evolves. It's like comparing somali to latin. Also, people who are better at math are usually more "civilized," ever notice that? Now I am talking about eugenics for IQ but it is necessary that we keep genetic diversity to a maximum to not cause more birth defects later on. Eugenics should be voluntary but I think we should pay smart people to have kids. Like if they score high on an IQ test and do well in school they should get paid $30k a year for each child they have. It should especially be for high IQ women because they generally have more of an effect on a child's IQ. Eugenics can also impact human behavior, if you have two reckless parents you usually have a reckless child. So why not two meek parents so they can have a meek child? Think about it.

I also support eugenics, however I wouldn't do it for IQ, but rather for income, which correlates with IQ and is already being measured by the IRS.

Higher income = higher tax revenue. We could tax the top bracket at a VERY high rate, but give them a small break per child up to some cap, say 10 children. Given that income is somewhat heritable, if we incentivize everyone in the top tax bracket to have 10 children, then we will presumably grow the number of people in that bracket by at least a factor of 2 every year. This repeated doubling could quickly grow to a large population of very high IQ, high earning citizens, who could effectively fund a larger welfare state, or more tax breaks for the normal people, etc.

I also support eugenic measures against criminality. We could offer violent criminals an option of sterilization to reduce their prison sentence. On this one we would have to be more careful though, not to increase the original prison sentence to cruel amounts just to incentivize sterilization. We still ought to respect the criminal's reproductive autonomy.

Crispr is a red herring for eugenics. It'll have clinical applications and niche reproductive uses for those who are homozygous for deleterious conditions, but modifying babies for increased anything is waste of time - you'll have to alter hundreds of SNPs to get any substantial changes.
Better to focus of creating many hundreds or thousands of eggs from stem cells, fertilising them and then screening them using polygenic risk scores. State of the art IQ increases with 10 embryos and current PRS gives you 2.5 extra IQ points. In the near future, with more embryos, this will be 10 IQ points. Well worth $15,000.
Further, eugenics can easily be carried out by sperm donation - 30-60 thousand babies are born by sperm donation in the US. Ideally every last one of them should be the child of a father with an IQ >130.
