A 5'11" male, John, wants to know how many 40 mm diameter ping pong balls he could fit up his ass. Using a Fermi estimate, approximate how many ping pong balls John must buy to achieve his goal.

I will approximate the ping pong balls to be 1" diameter and John's colon length to be equal to his height. Therefore, 5 x 12 +11 = 71 ping pong balls.

Given
>40mm ping pong balls (PPB)
>height of 5'11"
40mm=~ 1.6"
Assuming height is equal to intestine length, we have 71/1.6 = 44 PPB

Nice. John will certainly have great use for this information.

I just want a proper table tennis thread somewhere. Is that too much to ask?

you were supposed to compute the volume of a ping pong ball. The diameter was given. Take half of the diameter (for the radius) and substitute it into the equation for the volume of a sphere: V=4/3(pi)r^3

you can't make ping pong threads on /sp/?

check out meatspin.fr

you're damn well welcome

I've tried 3 or 4 times at different times. None of the attempts were successful, so I guess TT players simply don't go there.

The "spin" part actually fooled me into opening this shit in public. Well fucking played.

But spheres don't pack like that.
