The phenomenon depicted in this picture scares the shit out of me and fascinates me at the same time.
On one hand it has mind-blowing potential applications.
If he harness it, we get free energy for nano-machines.
On the other, it could mean our universe "sits" on a false vacuum.
If it's true we could erase ourselves in a single event.

What do you think? Do the potential benefits outweigh the risks?
Or is this akin to worrying about "burning the atmosphere" during the Manhattan Project?
