Because "quantum" stuff is absolute fantasy. "Quantum science" isn't science. It's make-believe fantasies created as band-aids for bleeding and failing theories which are fundamentally broken and incorrect. Just like "dark matter" and "black holes" etc were invented as an attempt to save the so-called standard model of cosmology.

>b-b-b-but there is so much money invested in quantum research etc and there's so much publicity about it, that means it's all real!!

No, it means some people are totally desperate to keep their jobs and continue receiving funding, AND are 100% unable to admit they are wrong; unable to admit they've been duped; unable to divorce themselves from their decades of mental and emotional attachment to their belief system.

So anyway, regarding computers, we're going to get MUCH more powerful computers in the future, obviously. But computers will never be "quantum". Screencap this.

You do realize quantum mechanics is the single most reliable model in all of physics right?
Experiment after experiment it has yet to fail.
Everything it describes it describes perfectly, now don't be stupid and try to hold it accountable for something it does not describe.

In the rare case this wasn't bait, pick up a QM textbook at least and tell us where the errors are. You could be the next Einstein bro

you're an idiot
actual quantum computers already exist and far simpler designs have been produced recently

There are some real, legitimate concerns for why fault-tolerant, scalable quantum computers can't fundamentally be realized. Unfortunately, seething about "quantum phenomena is voodoo and you physicists are all modern-day charlatans!" is just schizophrenia and extreme conspiracy theory.

You are a true believer. Your exact statement is likewise made by Christians about the Bible. That doesn't prove Christianity/God/Jesus is real. It's the same with your belief.

>>10678215
The only reason you say that is because you don't even know what a quantum computer is supposed to be. A quantum computer as the quantum theorists describe them does not and can't ever exist. And not because of costs or technology barriers but due to their whole theory being incorrect to begin with and being disconnected from reality.

Quantum computers exist, they just kind of suck.

The behavior of electrons inside transistors can only be explained by quantum mechanics. You literally wouldn't be shitposting right now if quantum mechanics was "fantasy". Anyone with even a passing interest in technology should know this.

I'm the guy that you responded to but not OP, bait is whatever post that has the sole purpose of getting (you's). And /sci/ gets baited to a ridiculous extent.
