Anki is obviously amazing for biology which contains a lot of rote memorization of facts.

What are some other subjects where it is indispensible? I have yet to find good ways to study math or physics with it. How about Chemistry or computer science? Any others?

i've gotten 88% of the 146 mature cards i've seen so far correct.
wondering if this means i need to refactor my cards to be easier to remember. anki docs say shoot for 90%. still a sample sample size though

why do you need to do this when you can just understand what the question is asking mechanically and then apply basic logic to figure out what derivative to use? seems like a waste of time there aren’t that many different derivative rules to begin with

>> No.10645052

>>10644925

this is the point, if things seem simple to you, you press "easy" and you won't repeat them mindlessly
if things aren't , or you are confused, you press "again" and the repetition will be closer

that's the genius of spaced repetition, it prevents you from self deluding yourself and forces you to prove yourself that you know what you believe you know

because when you're doing it on an exam, you don't want to spend precious seconds trying to decide "logically" what the next step of a derivation is. if you have it memorized to where it's second nature, you can spend that time on the actual problems

It doesn't work because memorizing equations only takes you so far, and you aren't likely to remember them if you don't understand the underlying concept because then to your brain its a bunch of random letters that mean nothing. Anki is most useful for remembering definitions.

its pointless to go to lectures, because the exams in my country contain questions from older lectures , so even if you go to every lecture, you won't be able to get the max points in the exam because some nigger asks something from 20 years ago that's only a false positive in an old question from 1980
