Does buying ground glassware get you put on a 'list'? or put another way: Would I be exposing myself to undue attention by simply purchasing ground glassware online?

>> No.10623948

>>10623931
if you're worried about it you probably should be put on a list.
Im probably on tons of lists for what i google, but it's all related to my career, so fuck it

>> No.10623952

Literally everything you ever do on the internet is recorded and "listed".
The computer codes that run through this data won't give a fuck unless you're buying the glass AND also buying other things needed to make meth, though.

>> No.10623969

let's face it, we're all on a list for posting here

So no meth, got it. I ask because I believe that it is AZ that has criminalized owning lab glassware entirely and TX requires a permit. I'm just curious if someone out there knows more about the repercussions in other states in the US.

I'm not interested in methamphetamine. There are so many other more interesting compounds to synthesize! Nor am I interested in making explosives. It is these sorts of narrow-minded views that enable the government's suppression of speech and thought. Perhaps I expected too much from you.

As far as I know ground glassware is only illegal in AZ if it's classified as drug paraphernalia. In other words, if you use it to make drugs. If you don't use it to make drugs, then it's not illegal to own. A spoon could be drug paraphernalia if you're using it for drugs

Just learn to blow your own glassware.
Learn to make pipes and bongs and sell them out of a suitcase in the parking lots of concerts (with a cooler of canned drinks) that you sell at a ridiculous markup because fuck you, supply and demand.
Make some quick easy cash, skeeze on concert sluts out of their minds on whatever chad and tyrone gave them, and maybe even get in to see some shows.

Ebay is a good place, deschem for example refunds broken stuff and has wll priced high quality products. Depending on your location you still could get in trouble, but that is not the sellers fault then. Australia is known to be iffy with glassware shipments.

I know for a fact that fermentation pots that are used in the milk industry are closely monitored on all sale sites.
You can figure out the rest, just don't do anything illegal and you should be fine.

If you want to do chemistry, then work in an actual lab. I know this sounds harsh and amateur chemistry seems really fun, but merely possessing lab glassware is enough to get you arrested in many US states. Also your neighbors will likely call the cops because they’ll think you’re cooking meth

Doubt ground glass is going to raise any flags. Can't do anything with it you couldn't do with normal glass, it's just nicer to work with.
>OP buys 10 phones, 100lb ammonium nitrate, 2 miles razor wire, 1 gas mask, 1 body armor
>no one cares
>OP buys glass flask
>NSA algorithm calls for increased scrutiny
>flask has a ground neck
>defcon 1, UN condemns OP, swat teams wreck his house, CIA disappears him to undisclosed location
>world is saved from OP's funnel fitting neatly into his flask
I'd say surely that's not how they operate but it probably is.

I personally think solvatochromism is a pretty boring phenomenon. Organic chemistry has many more interesting applications in medicinal chem, materials and biochemistry.

>> No.10630325

>>10623931
Obviously it does, but you shouldn't worry about it
the only time your door is going to get kicked down is if you buy very specific glassware and chemicals in order to do some common illicit reactions (say you buy everything you need to do a simple reflux for making meth)
btw deschem is good glassware for starting but try putting any of that under vacuum and it will go boom since it is chink tier

>> No.10630373

>>10630325
Hey there anon! Good heads up on the deschem, I suppose it would be reagents, equipment, etc as aggregate that could be detected by, as another poster pointed out, a machine learning algorithm applied to a government Hadoop cluster.

when i was in highschool my chemistry teacher told us that he gets calls on a weekly basis because of the stuff he has to do for his job (he also worked in a toxicology lab) for the stuff he either bought or searched online
