how bis is the unobservable universe

inb4 there is no way to know

90bn ly diameter

I'll let someone else explain why

The observable universe is roughly 90bn ly diameter

yes I asked unobersbable

>> No.10604844

some would say it's the number of lightyears from the origin point of the big bang as the age of the universe
I say it's infinite

How can we observe the universe for 90bnly, if the universe is not at least 90bn years old?

the observable universe is pretty best in slot as far as we know

>> No.10605453

In theory, the first light we see is from 13.8b years ago, the Cosmic Radiowave Background, which is not long after the Big Bang. Since then, the light emitted 13.8 billion years ago will appear much further due to inflation (Hubble's Law), working out to 46.5 billion light years in all directions.

For the unobsevable universe we don't know but we can guess based on what we see of the global spacetime curvature of the universe and cosmological constant. So far it seems the curvature is flat or very slightly positive, meaning it could be finite or infinite.
