I use anki. It doesn't beat autists per se. Its kind of a major dependent thing. If you're majoring in something like bio where its mostly memorization, sure, it will get you to where you're going. Its less helpful for problem solving classes however, in those cases I would consider skipping it altogether in favor of another method.

At the end of the day its just flashcards with an algorithm. It will put you at full potential to learn and recall info, but if you have no potential to begin with then it won't do much for your capacity.

How can I use this to study as a QM retard who is absolutely fucking clueless what he's doing

Assuming you know how SRS works, start on page 1 of your textbook and start making cards. Put the first chapter in your deck then test yourself. Now go to chapter 2 and so on. Wash rinse repeat every minute of every day between now and the test. You want to speed through the material as fast as you can to get as much of it into Anki as you can in the next 3 or 4 days so you'll have what you need to work with. When you get everything in, it'll take you several hours every day to work through it but that's how it is when you're trying to get it done on a hard deadline.
The trick with spaced repetition is when you get it in your system, you are guaranteed to remember 90% of the material for a certain period of time. So if you have everything in your system and on the day of the test you are caught up on your cards, you'll remember 90% of everything.
Also, don't get put off by it being "memorization". The memorization of the discrete facts causes your subconscious mind to connect the dots even beyond what normal studying can do.
Long story short, start right now. Don't ask anymore questions or fuck around anymore. Start right now on page one and go hard as a motherfucker over the next two weeks and at the end of it prepare to be fucking amazed.

You are out of luck anonbro,

Anki sucks shit for cramming, it really is a 'long con'. So ideally u start with anki at the beginning of the semester or new topic and keep up with the material as you are making cards. Because if you make like a few hundred cards in a few days it s too hard to keep up with...

I recommend that you maybe use anki for the most challenging topics or for shit that is very essential and route memory.
Try to limit the number of cards to 50 to 200 depending on the difficulty of the material. Otherwise it will be too much to reap the benefits of spaced repetition (it s way better to add cards consistently because the old cards are already less often to be reviewed)

>this is just cramming.
Uh, yeah. The person I replied to said he only has 2 weeks. Anki is the best thing for long term retention but it also works a trick for cramming beyond anything else I've ever tried. And due to the nature of SRS, if you just keep repeating what you cram, you still get that full long term benefit, while on a practical level the only difference is you filled out your deck a lot faster than typical.

>no evidence that the skill transfers beyond dual n back
It has been shown to help people with traumatic brain injury and even healthy participants show *some* transfer just a very tiny amount. Not worth 30 minutes a day of boring exercises unless you just happen to like it.
