Its pretty comfy. Campus is spacey and located outside of the city centre in a villa neighborhood. Building are mostly from the 70s including physics building which feel old and has a non-offensive mild scent. Its a big building with a lot of small and medium sized rooms. Math building and science library is newly renovated and super nice. CS building is new.

Social culture: Norwegian people are remarkably reserved thus might initially seem cold and unfriendly, but we are good lads at heart, it just takes some time for it to show. Here's some memes about this:

Anyone studying outside their native country?
I was toying with the idea of studying abroad but I don't know how to check whether or not I qualify, since my high school scores and other tests might not translate as well in foreign education systems.
Any insight on the matter?
If it matters, I want to study CS, but the requirements in decent unis here are insanely high and almost paradoxically getting a degree abroad (in a decent uni, anyway) would probably look as good, if not better, in a resume.

Probably this depends on your specific circumstances, but usually universities have a webpage detailing how they interpret the equivalence of foreign qualifications.

If your specific university does not, then try looking at another university in the same country, it's likely they'll have similar grade conversions although there are exceptions to this.

Alternatively, just email admissions at the university and they'll help.

Going to university abroad can be a good experience and the act of doing that already tells something about you as a person. Whether HR considers this is another matter. At the undergrad level I don't know that the quality of education will vary meaningfully between institutions, and barring some very good universities the name of your university might not matter all that much.

Good choice if you're in Georgia - your odds are quite good if you go through REPP and have a decent GPA.

My advice though is to be prepared to work really hard your first semester here. The workload at Tech is about an order of magnitude more than any comparable school in the state, and a lot of our accepted transfer students really bomb it in their first semester.
