How far away are we from long term organ storage? I want to be able to put a kidney on ice and save it for later.

Well, we are rapidly improving at both oscalised refrigeratics and long-term organ transbobulation, so I’d guess 20-30 years.

Any serious answers?

Seriously they'll probably be able to clone or 3D print new organs before they figure out how to indefinitely store them.
Though if they figure that out then cryonics should finally be viable at which point you'd just go into suspended animation until kidney failurehas been solved.
