Wow, it's like people in the developed world (i.e. where academic research takes place) can freely choose what field they want to work in... Hmm but wait, this implies that there's some sort of a biological difference between men and women that drives them to, on average, pursue different types of interests. Nope, I can't accept that, but since there's no evidence of women being pushed into the fields that they dominate, I'd better blame deep ingrained societal structures like "the toxic patriarchy" and define it broadly and poorly so that I can keep moving my goalpost!
