Is putting in time guaranteed to make you better in whatever you are learning? Could you still be a brainlet after studying 8 hours a day?

No, and yes.

You could put in all the time in the world studying shit that is incorrect, or irrelevant. You could also put in a lot of time studying the same small set of facts over and over again.

On the other hand, I don;t know of any way to learn anything without putting in whatever is the requisite amount of time.

How would you self check yourself without the help of a professional(i.e professor or instructor) I mean it would be a huge bummer if you studied for hours only to find out that you're not really getting anywhere. Sure there is the internet, but problems do arise that just aren't recorded in the manner you are used to. What I'm getting at is if a problem could be identified and broken down to a simpler way, but you (due to the way you have been learning in the certain field that the problem arose in) don't recognize it and for some reason no one can check it or recognize it. Then what do you do?

If you can't figure out what to study to learn what you want to know, and can't rely on outside evaluators for assistance, then I guess you are fucked.

I hate people who hold cats like this. Their shoulders are extremely close and this puts a lot of weight in a position they can't manage.
