Is it worth it studying the basics of math again if you're already at advanced stuff?

I.e. Solving basic linear equations after doing taking advanced linear algebra

Yes and no.
It's good for your brain to periodically do some challenging elementary problems. It will keep the concepts fresh in your head and cement your understanding of the basics.
However you shouldn't spend too much time doing this and shitty problems (e.g. solving 3-variable systems over and over) will not improve any skills.

Thats what I thought, I'm guessing the best course of action is just to quickly go through the book to refresh while solving select problems. After finishing go back and do a sample of difficult problems that come from all chapters
