How fucked am I career wise as an undergrad (Molbio/biochemistry) if I accept a full-time position doing field and lab work in basically environmental science. We had a nigga drop into our small class/lab tell us they're looking to hire us because we have the skills they need-I assume this is because environmental science niggas don't know shit.

Having variety of field and lab work excites me, but honestly up to this point my main focus has been on tumor immunology. I don't know if I will be shooting myself in the foot if I go the environmental path...would I be locked out of following my final goal of having a PhD(molbio) focused on immunology.

Depends on what other experiences you've had. Generally speaking it doesn't make much sense to get a phd at all *after* working a job for x years, regardless of the field. If you want a phd in molbio, apply for phd positions in molbio.
And no you won't be "locked out", what a foolish thing to say.

you won't be locked out, but if you do it, you should follow it through to completion

If you want to do grad school you need lab experience. Not class labs, real deal research labs. If you're already in a lab doing what you want to study, dont leave. If you're not in a lab already, having some real research experience in an unrelated lab wont hurt but it might not help and youre missing out on time to do research on what you want.

When it comes time to write your application, nobody really gives a shit what you did for undergrad research, what they care about is whether you understood the goal of the lab and how your work there fit in and advanced that goal.
