Why do people start to rapidly age from their 50 60s
from 20 to 50 seems like a slow progression then 60 it becomes accelerated its as if some function that keeps them youthful looking stops working completely

Ive read oxidative stress caused by iron retention is the main cause.

You age at a constant rate however most people take drugs and drink to ignore reality throughout their 20s and 30s only to have it all come crashing down in their 40s and 50s. The average human peaks at 14, everything after is usually a slide down.

Anyway, "aging" aka your body's inability to replace dead cells, can be "slowed" by getting 12 hours of sleep every night, by eating nutritional food with a vitamin supplement, by wearing protective equipment at work, by not drinking and by exercising every day. This will keep your body from degrading noticeably until you're in your 70s or 80s. Figure even smokers can make it to 90, it's getting up above 100.

Medical science will probably make this much easier as organ cloning/printing (aka heart transplants) become viable and as chemotherapy gets much better. Stem cells (see >>10401137) play into it because so far the best medical science tells us that the best organs can be most cheaply made from stem cells, so if your parents kept your umbilical cord in a cyro bank then you're better off than most people.

Smoking actually seems to be a vital component of increased longevity, likely because it is tremendous for brain health, vascular health and promotes endogenous antioxidants.

while we constantly age, you cant help but notice a rapid decline after a certain age, say sixty.
the lack of excercise aka being sedentary could have alot to do with this.

ive been considering donated my blood to "flush out" it out

i have an hypothesis that women age faster due to them not being able to flush out toxins as easily as they would have when they had had their periods, of course i could be entirely retarded in that regards

im wondering if any surgeon has every thought of using AI to help with cosmetic surgery so they can know how much and where to inject or where to lift to make a person look like they were younger. of course we still havent figured out a way to fill parts of dermis with more collagon to get that fuller look.
but i figure AI and constantly scanning (home MRIs) will play a vital role

like imagine if you had a home MRI it detected a cancer it its very VERY early stages and applied the necessary counter measures.

It's even sadder that society forces you to waste the good 25% away just so the lowest common denominator can (barely) keep pace with you for the next 18 years.

Aging is caused by cumulative oxidative stress causing mutations in DNA. As more DNA gets damaged, it loses it's repair function. This is why it hits in your 40s and continues log-rhythmically

This oxidative stress is caused by oxygen free radicals created when energy in the body is metabolized

Oxygen is slowly killing you

im aware oxygen is slowly killing you but dont you think iron accumation plays a rule in that. Since iron especially basically is slowly combusting when it reacts to oxygen so imagine the iron in your blood combusting to the presence of oxygen it comes in contact with.

Im excercise helps with aging by forcing out excess toxicity.I dunno.

Dude. Yoga is a fucking cult targetting upper middle class 20-50 year old women.

They know that these type of women want to form a community and a sense of belonging as well as enlightenment and they sell it to them that they need to part from materialism usually by giving it to the yoga teacher. All kinds of sexual scandals as well.

Yoga cults are the most dangerous around because they usually target psychologists, gym coaches and personal trainers to indoctrinate to tell to their clients to go on yoga lessons. Thus directly targeting vulnerable people and growing larger.

I'll bet my ass that in 1-2 decades you'll see all kinds of documentaries pop up about the early 2000s and 2010s yoga cults. I have a feeling it's settling down already due to the lowered amount of yoga pants I see in public. But it's still very big.

It is oxygen, but it's because your mitochondrial DNA never gets recombined/fixed ever. Literally, it consistently degrades every time your cells divide, until they're so degraded that they basically just continuously produce free radicals.

This essentially ruins the DNA in your cell nuclei, ruining the functions of almost every cell in your body.

Mitochondrial DNA is passed exclusively from females, so if you have a living female relative, you should be good if they ever find a way of cross comparing and fixing your mitochondrial DNA.

The female relative part is important, as the only cell that contains undamaged mitochondria is an unfertilised egg cell, any other would be partially damaged.

And if you spend more than five days awake, there's an extremely high chance you'll die or otherwise have some sort of brain-altering seizure/coma that hurts you in the long run. Giving up half your time to rest is required unless you want major brain problems later on.

This will continue until science figures out a way to replace sleeping. This hasn't happened yet.
