Phrenology is real, just look at that dude's skull shape, you can tell he's a brainlet without looking at his IQ score.

Serious question: I took IQ test and got around 115 the first time and found it challenging and fun, so I took a few others also. I noticed I did get better and better at recognizing patterns, but how does that relate to IQ actually? Last couple of tests I gout around 145, but it doesn't feel like I got there by "being smarter and more aware", it's simply I learned how to notice patterns better.

What about verbal IQ and what about common knowledge about world, like how simple things work, be it engine, computer, microwave, etc.. political debates, literature interpretation, moral compas, social skills, how women work, how financial world works, investing/trading,..

There's so much I feel is left out on these pattern recognizing IQ tests that it's completely retarded to relay on them. I'd employ a 110 IQ pattern recognizing chad that can communicate well and has a good grasp of world, while being able to learn new things easily over a 145 IQ autist that couldn't handle a presentation or get a pussy on a night out with bros.

Can we finally put these tests that measure you pattern recognition ability to the grave?

I can't stop laughing at this comment. If you aren't aware, this guy is a livestreamer and took an online IQ test. He scored 81.

This is a really important point. The assumption that the test-taker is going in "blind" NEEDS to be maintained. For large samples, this can be safely assumed... Except when it can't.

One example of this is how Korean Corporations are increasingly requiring applicants to state their IQ on resume's. In response, applicants study to raise their score. Guess where Korea's IQ scores come from? The data collectes from those corporations. This is also a problem with Shanghai and Orthodox Jewish children getting scores of about 120... After having done nothing for a year but be rigorously drilled on how to get high scores on IQ tests.

IQ is very useful, but it has its limitations, and those limitations are glaring.

What's so bad about a 90 IQ? It's only 10 points away from a perfect score
