No, there won't be any open sky greenhouses. There would only be underground grow rooms with lots of lights. This is because the amount of radiation coming through the glass/plastic of the greenhouse will fuck up the plants and any workers there. If you try to block this radiation you end up blocking too much light which makes a greenhouse worthless in the first place. Thus, everything is underground. Many meters underground.

False, radiation levels on Mars are like 300 mSv per year, plants will easily tolerate it. Everything will be underground but because of the need to contain pressurized atmosphere and reduce cancer rate in humans, not plants.

You obviously haven't been in any of the past threads on this very subject.
Boils down to this. Solar is about half as effective on Mars as on Earth.

So you can grow underground and make all your light.
>a fuck load of power

Or you can grow above ground
>with half as much power as a fuck load

Keep in mind above ground you can still add supplemental grow lights.
Given the difficulty of building air tight tunnels and the power requirements.
It makes little sense to grow plants underground.

What? Let's start again.
Nitrogen exists in extractable concentrations in Mars' atmosphere.
There is no need to import nitrogen at all because you can extract it in situ.
For a colony sized habitat, the cost of sending the required equipment to do that < cost of sending nitrogen.
This is made even more true given that losses happen, growth happens, and it provides safety and independence.
The extracted nitrogen can be fixed to make fertilizer just like we do here on Earth.

Yeah. Earth is a hoax pushed by NASA

NASA said that an Asteroid destroyed Earth.
But there is just a bunch of Asteroids where Earth supposed to be.

I can't believe that a planet with so much water could exist.
Obviously Fake. Look at this photo of the supposed "impact".

Exorbitantly expenses even by interplanetary civilization standards. It would be like shipping Antarctic ice to Las Vegas to allow them keep their fountains and gold courses running. It doesn't matter that Antarctica has lots of unused fresh water. It would be cheaper to buy it from literally anywhere else that wants fresh water slightly less than Las Vegas.

It would be far cheaper just to get it from Earth. We wouldn't even be able to make an appreciable dent in Earth's atmospheric nitrogen until Mars is well on it's way to be considered fully terraformed, which surely wouldn't be the case in a mere three generations.
