I wonder how many people with their only thing of worth being their high IQ will feel when the mainstream finally finds out that IQ only has a very loose correlation with intelligence and other factors such as wealth, interests and entrepreneurship have a far higher correlation with intelligence.

Are those people going to kill themselves? So many people keep holding on to these numbers as if they are magical instead of just some oversimplistic analysis designed a century ago based on dubious data and with questionable results.

IQ is so ineffective and loosely correlated to intelligence that it's almost pseudo-science and I see it as the 20th and 21st century version of Craniometry where the bigger your head, the bigger your brain and thus intelligence was king.
