Is male gayness a mental disorder? Is it just preference?

I don't really believe that men are born gay, I believe that some combination of overbearing mother and/or lack of male role model is a factor.

Male homos are more aggressive and have more mental disorders, even in the most progressive countries. Is it possible to take the lovely SJW perspective on gay males? What does science say?
