In the whole 2012 thing, the planets align and will cause a tectonic slip where the Earth's crust rotates and we get new poles.

What's so bad about that? Well it's going to happen very quickly. Because the air will lag behind the ground we'll experience winds of about 10,000km/h and then if you survive that, the oceans will "slosh" over the land masses. That's your end of the world scenario.

What does that have to do with pyramids? A pyramid will survive all that. A sky-scraper or a house will not.

The aliens warned us about the end of the world AND they gave us the architectural know-how to survive it. Why didn't we write all this down? We did - the best way we knew how, and in a way it could survive the test of time.

But we ignored it and sucked Abraham's cock instead (praise be Jesus, et fucking al) and ignore the helping hand we were offered. So now we're too far behind to have a chance.

Opinions?

While a major polar shift would indeed be devastating there is no reason to believe it will occur in 2012.
