If you get these daily I see your issue, if they are weekly suck it up or switch to gender studies.

This shit fucked me up last semester, like I would make some stupid ass mistake on easy problems but annihilated the harder ones, which always got thrown out since most of the class got it wrong.

This. It's triggering. I'm studying both mathematics and physics. I feel like my mathematics professors assign tough, but fair assignments. It might take me a couple hours sometimes to work out a proof and get everything worded carefully. Sometimes it takes quite a lot of thinking to see how it all lines up, but generally if I allow myself enough time I've found my Algebra and Analysis work to be challenging and enjoyable.

Can't say the same for the assignments given from my physics professors. They seem to assign problems out of a book at random (whereas my mathematics professors craft proofs, questions, and problems by hand) that have nothing to do with the lecture or only the bare minimum. The text itself skips huge portions of derivation leaving me constantly confused and at a loss. Every week I find myself panicking trying to find a professor teaching a similar topic on YT so I can figure what the hell is going on. Like now... it's a nightmare honestly.

That's because it's so hard to actually train physicists because of the vast conceptual leap required to go from solving basic problems to actually understanding how the theories work and using them correctly *and* creatively.

I think a lot of professors would rather just give hard homework and cut the portion of the class who 'doesn't get it'.

Realistically, if you want to be better as a physicist, work through every proof with a pencil and paper, and obsessively do practice problems until you have a great conceptual grasp on the topic being presented

It also helps if you know how to concentrate insanely well.
