I think you'll find this became gradually more common from 2015 onward.
Prior to that it was up mostly of undergraduates and graduates, with a small but active community of postdocs.

The reason for this phenomenon is that most people here have grown up taking credit for things someone the same colour as them did.

Why would I want to? That's not what /sci/ is about. Focusing on making money would interfere with my pursuit of math.

As soon as Ill start making contributions to math, ill start to attract a social following that matters (actual people who care about knowledge). Why would I want to do that before achieving sufficient knowledge in math?
Also I'm not ugly at all, i'm rather cute. And this post screams of insecurity of your part. Like sure, say there are 80% of people on this board like that. What does it matter? At least they actually care for knowledge and science subjects, in contrast to most other people. Nothing wrong with that. In your post you have not brought a single point that would make the community on /sci/ look bad, just exposed your own insecurity, on which i congradulate you, and offer you my thoughts and prayers.
Honestly there's no reason why you can't actually be the change you want to see on this board. You don't need to have a gigantic iq at all to care about science and not be a brainlet in regards to it, you just have to invest your time and honestly care about it.
