Look into being a radiation safety officer. You need a Physics degree and separate certificate and your job is to make sure all employees are being safe around radiation stuff.

There has never been a shortage of work. There has only been a shortage of skilled workers. Immigrants almost never fill these fields and only flood the unskilled or semi-skilled sectors.
