I haven't learned any calculus, the farthest I got in school was algebra 2. Do I need to know calculus to master linear algebra? What is the best textbook for me to teach myself linear algebra?

No.

No but good luck, linear algebra is big gay

Gilbert Strang Linear Algebra

and watch his ocw videos. In my linear algebra classes we used Lay's linear algebra book, but Strang ended up teaching me everything.

No. Go for it. Calculus actually becomes a lot easier if you already know linear algebra, plus studying linear algebra will give you a better idea of what high level maths (e.g. algebra, topology, functional analysis, etc.) is actually like, compared to something like calculus or statistics.

Thanks, I've used ocw for comp sci and it's amazing. I'll give that book a try.

No. I just took linear algebra and only used calculus for an extra credit problem.

I would recommend Linear Algebra and its Applications by David C Lay et. al. since its the best organized of all the ones I've seen. There are also some helpful geometric intuitions that are provided in the book as well.

seconding this advice, you may need to skip a few though very far into the series which use linear algebra to solve differential equations
you might still be fine with those, but i dont know.
those are really really far into the class, so don't worry about it

I just got started with this one since im trying to get a head start during the break. I finished the first section and it's pretty easy to understand, I'd recommend it

I recommend linear algebra and its application by David c. Lay aswell.
