Future non-brainlet here, I've just finished Gelfand's Algebra in 3 weeks and I'm feeling pretty good about it. Besides the meme picture we all already know, what should my next book be?

did you do all the problems without use of outside sources? there were some that were really fucking hard, in particular one in the vieta's theorem section which was ridiculous.
i'm on page 120 at the moment.

Why tf would i do the problems? I already read the whole book. I'm not gonna waste time reciting it to myself for no reason lmfao.

well, you're a current brainlet. If you can't do the problems, especially the hard ones, then you haven't finished the book. They're in there for a reason. The big ones are actually how you stretch your thinking and become non brainlet

gelfand algebra is a meme though, if you can't just throw your reader to the shark tank if he barely knows some basic HS algebra.

Second this, OP should read/do Hoffman & Kunze. If can finish H&K, there's no reason he can't then do Roman, Advanced Linear Algebra. The first couple of chapters are review of H&K material, then it goes to chapters on multilinear algebra, Hilbert spaces, applications in affine geometry, and ending with the Umbral Calculus.

So Gelfand->Undergrad->Graduate in 3 books. The chad Algebraist vs the virgin meme list follower.

so this is actually a girl dressed to look like a transgender chick right? This has been explained to me two or three times in the last half decade or so but I keep forgetting what exactly I'm looking at. Either way I really wish people would stop the disgusting anime cosplay autistic facial expressions, the nya nyaa chick does them too. I'm convinced it comes from being emotionally stunted and socialized by psychotic japanese cartoons.

Try this (free) one at the same time: https://infinitedescent.xyz/
It's designed for incoming CMU students, as a one semester book, so has been brainletized but at the same time there's no answers, you're expected to figure out the exercises yourself (because that's the only way you learn) ergo redeems itself to be non brainlet. It also covers LaTeX in every single proof so you get used to writing it, and things like nominal theory for variables which you probably won't find elsewhere.

>Why?
You're better off reading a math book instead.
