University Rankings (EG dick measurement)

Found 2 indexes that rank international universities on a scale of 1-100.

how many universities were from the US in 2009?

54. more than half of the worlds best universities are in the US.

8 of the top 10 are US
the other is cambridge, #4 and Oxford, #10. I would have expected nothing less of the UK, but the populations of the 2 countries disproportionately weight the US.

12/20 of the top Universities as being US based, with 5/10 (top) being US (all others being UK based)


though I trust this metric less, as it ranks University of Chicago above MIT and Cal Tech, and also ranks Johns Hopkins above Berkeley


also, Berkeley, UCLA, and UCSD dont even make it into the top 20....

which very few people would agree with.
