The mixing of an inbred population with a more heterogeneous population doesn't inherently have any bearing on the "quality" of the genes of subsequent populations. There exist inbred dog breeds with highly desirable and adaptive characteristics, and dog breeds that do not -- compare German shepherds and pugs.
