What scientific proof exists to provide that a year has significance and that it takes 365 days to complete some kind of cycle?

If you started counting days from today, how would you figure to stop counting and assume a cycle? Do you think if you did this, you would find a period of 365 days makes sense? Or would you be more inclined to believe there were more days in a year to truly match the supposed "cycle"?

Basically you take a rock or something and send it on the opposite trajectory around the sun and then you meet it after half a year.

One of the most groundbreaking concepts, not that anyone cared until years after the fact because people only bought the book for some dank math ideas, was that the earth goes around the sun shattering preconceived notions of the universe around us.

by noticing some recurring feature, like the dates when the solstices occur (assuming you're not so close to the equator it's hard to see them)

Point is that even if a year were actually 364 or 366 days, the drift of desynchronization would accomodate the climate change delusion of believing the same weather must always occur at the same time of each year.

There are roughly 365.242199 solar days between one summer solstice to another and as you can see it's not a perfect number which is why we have implemented leaps years in our calendar because humans are autistic and want every solstice to occur on a specific calendar day.
Counting how many days there are between equinoxes or solstices are a good way to figure out how many days there are in a year by the way.
