How do we stop the psychoanalyst lobby from destroying scientific medicine?
Psychoanalysts seem to be particularly good at getting the useful idiots to their side.

By hard science proving that mental problems (depression, bpd, etc.) Cant be cured by talking but rather by medicine. I tried that bullshit and it most definitely did not work. I took pills, and I was going out with a but more energy and a smile. Just show statistics of what normals' and NPCs' care about, depression. Show a graph of suicide rates of people that were under psychoanalysis and then compare that to people who took medicine that were NOT placebo. They'll change quick, considering how they think mental obstacles is a massive talking point in modern science.

Right after we deal with homeopathy, alternative medicine, chiropractic, the supplements industry, etc. we can all get busy saving medicine from psychoanalysis.

Gotta prioritize.

you can't argue there is _no_ use to therapists (psychotherapists or just non-MD people to talk to). there are plenty of mental problems people develop that can go away by talking about it, like phobias or some traumatic experience. like you know, "my daddy touched me" type shit. a pill can't fix your buried mental complexes, but working it out mentally, either on your own or through talking to a therapist about it, actually does address the underlying cause, unlike pills

If scientific medicine was good enough we wouldnt need "alternatives", just saying.

>> No.10099392

If psychoanalists have helped people in the past, in what sense is it bad? I'm not saying that it is for all people and all circumstances, but for some people it has proven to have very tangible benefits. And what would you do to replace it?

>thinking that you can solve all the structural problems with the brain via ingesting chemicals.
muh psychology niggers are worse than pharmaniggers, but both have yet to acknowledge that there are probably problems that you can't fix with medicine, and that will eventually come down to incredibly precise surgery, as a opposed to muh psychoanalysis or muh pharma.

there's very little effective meds that deal with problems in the brain, most pills that get described by psychiatrists are results of enormous efforts in obfuscating stats so that they get approved

WRONG

just talking about it is not going to solve anything. behavioral (mostly) and cognitive interventions are the only methods shown to be effective. psychoanalysts should face the same penalties as MDs who give treatment that does not even approach the Standard of Care.

They are scientific. They're just inconvenient for established markets and not profitable.

It's interesting you put scientific in quotes, because that's actually what we're dealing with here. Mainstream science, that our manufactured cultural narrative says is established and legitimate, is anything but. It's a pseudoscientific hackjob.
