Why are you basing your self worth on your ability to obtain a CS degree / be smart?

Look I know nowadays everyone grows up hoping to be some kind of great "contributor" but please recognize that 99.999 percent of people are not that... most human lives do not occur in a domain of vast influence/ability.

You've been terribly misled by the times into thinking human life only obtains purpose and dignity to the extent that it is academically or culturally impactful.

Do you have any idea how important you are to your family/friends? Shoot, even if you dont have either of those you're still a Goddam human being with dignity and significance.

Please stop doing this to yourself anon. Its good to have dreams and to work hard but your value as a member of humanity doesn't change based on your ability to jump the hurdles society places before you.
