How hard will it be to jump into differential equations as a senior. My last math classes were calc 3 during fall 2017 (my junior year), calc 2 during fall 2016 (sophomore year), and calc 1 during fall 2015. I have switched majors to and from CIVE E a few times and am ready to grind out the rest so I don't have a meme degree.

Also any tips or things that helped you in the class would be appreciated.

uh
you'll be fine?

don't know what you're worrying about

Imo diff eq is piss easy. It's also the most used math in applied science

I have a phobia of e^x's popping up in random places

Take some time and study the laplace transform. Its actually a really cool method for solving differential equations.

I'm of the opinion that "practical math" (everything that's useful in engineering, solid state physics, signals and thermodynamics) can be learned by literally everyone not mentally disabled in a few weeks, no talent required. All you need is someone to walk you through the explanations once so you get a picture of what you're doing, and then just memorize the required steps.

Your opinion would be correct, good sir.
It takes virtually no intelligence to learn this shit.

This, and Fourier transform as well

what? no. They will teach you how to do this in the class. Why waste your time studying it before hand? If you actually need prep to understand undergrad diff eq you need to kill yourself. That class is laughably easy. You will never be given problems that are actually difficult to solve on any tests.

I don’t know why people say differential equations are easy. Sure its easy to learn, but some of the techniques for solving them are so assbackward it makes calculus look like childs play. Also setting up problems from the real world is very confusing. You have nothing to worry about OP though as long as you know what you’re getting into.
