So, I found this image here on /sci/.

I find it very interesting. I posted it on /his/, but mainly got weird discussion about events I don't know much about in the comments so far.

So guys, what do you think? Do you believe in this particular image, or the notion that our current technological state is not the peak of humanity's progress, and if yes, or no, why?

Also, are there any sources for this picture, or is it just pol tier fantasy stuff?

That picture is a parody of the original "hole left by the Christian Dark Ages" picture. You'd have to be pretty dense to not understand satire, unless OP is trolling too, in which case I've been bamboozled.

That picture is a /his/ meme which satirises the original image (contained at the very end starting at "egyptian") which insists that Christianity led to a regression in science eventhough this is a very simplistic and eurocentric way of looking at things, not to mention that the entire "Graphic" does not even depict how scientific advance is being defined, quantified or sourced.

There are fringe-archaeologists who believe in civilisations predating Ancient Egypt by thousands of years, possibly even back before the end of the last ice-age but things get pretty dubious because genuine mysteries get mixed in with known misinformation and debunked claims just like the reasons given for why this stuff is not mainstream archaeology range from archaeologists simply being extremely conservative and hesitant to explore anything which contradicts orthodox models of history, to there being a deliberate cover-up.
The claimants themselves also range from those who simply insist people had bronze-age level technology way further back than we think, "masonic knowledge" was exchanged across the oceans possibly thousands of years ago and that ancient temples like Ankor Wat are built on sites which themselves are way, way, older; to those who insist eg. the pyramids are ancient power plants, but then, long after that civilisation was lost, the egyptians came along, used the pyramids as burial chambers and stole credit for building them.

Having said that, I have mostly only watched lectures from the fringe-theorist's point of view without much personal knowledge on the subject-matter and I suspect I might be experiencing something akin to listening to a creationist or holocaust denier where everything they say sounds pretty plausible if you aren't familiar with the subject-matter but mistakenly think you are familiar enough that you would be able to detect bullshit when you hear it.

Any reasonable person has to admit that there have been previous ages with a much higher level of spiritual development than the present. Technological, no, but tech doesn't mean much.

>no dates until 1000 BCE
If the flood was historically attested, you'd think there would at least be a general date around when it starts.

Fuck off with your weak ass pic OP
