Expendable Starship? 250 tons? Is this even necessary?

What is the advantage over using two reusable starships? Could this enable construction of a large privately owned station in orbit around the moon? Kickstart moon industry? What's going on here...

Interesting. I've never looked into rockets much before but this is what, an earlier variant of New Glen? For the moon a hydrogen/oxygen fuel is probably much better than methane. Starship is designed for refueling on Mars after all. SLS is not reusable. Starship, imho, is a bulk freighter not a crew vessel. It's still essential on the moon because it carries methane. Additionally a non reusable version could be very useful for establishing an industrial base on the moon.

Was blue origin intending to build an orbital station above earth using it's rocket bodies and some inflatable 9m pods? I'm surprised nothing has been announced considering the ISS is still intended to be decommissioned and China has been rapidly constructing it's own impressive station in orbit around Earth.

But if you want to talk about Mars human transportation I wouldn't even consider sending humans unless they were spending the journey in simulated .3g and that craft is yet to be designed.

It's a three month trip and you don't want anybody falling off a ladder and breaking a bone because they've been in microgravity for three months.

NASA’s Mars DRM 5 had two 250 ton cargo vessels and a 350 ton crew vehicle for the mars mission. Four expendable Starships could launch all of this. It would’ve taken Ares V 7 launches and SLS 9. Why isn’t NASA going all-in on Starship, at least as a cargo vehicle?

Desperate men do desperate things but he can't afford that. He's building a very complex instrument.

Turkey's in deep shit. They experienced a dual shock earthquake, which are so fucking rare when they happen. 7.8 followed by nearly half a day passing before the 7.5 further along a fault ruptured. With a 6.5 aftershock on the first and two 6.0 after shocks for the second. With no real building codes to withstand the quakes, and subsequent aftershocks, up to 200km from the epicenter you can find buildings flattened. Early reports had stated that something like close to 11,000 people died in the first 40 seconds of the earthquake. That eclipses the death toll from the 2011 Kanto Mag9 quake and the tsunami that generated.

But, there's a legit reason why they don't want Starlink activated in country. Its existence will dethrone the present government and its ability to rule with a stranglehold if its own population, even in disaster and crisis, learned of how much life could be better with a more democratized information system within their nation and the doors it opens up to innovation, goods and service improvements, and overall improvement of quality of life.

I suspect that as the death toll exceeds 25-30k or gets up to 50k, they'll be forced to reconsider more and more. The scale of these two dual shock quakes is absolutely ginormous. What would make it even worse now, is if the repeated main and after shocks leads to a third rupture somewhere else in the country.

Then the normies got smartphones and ruined everything by spamming mindless walls of text.

Our old haunts now merely mind control tools used to brainwash the masses. The kids don't remember. They've never known anything better.

Reddit spacing is not having just having paragraph breaks.
On Reddit it's impossible to break lines like I just did, you can only do paragraph breaks. The way to spot 'reddit spacing' is to see someone who uses a paragraph break for every sentence (because otherwise on Reddit it would be a wall of text)

That assumption implies that the development of standard 4channel etiquette predates reddit, which is definitely not true.

In any case, the only really egregious "reddit spacing" is to do so after or between greentext.

Although breaking after every single line is retarded for its own reason, as is writing a massive block of text without spacing between paragraphs.

Your assumption implies standard 4chan etiquette does and/or should exist. It's a divisional tactic intended to exclude newcomers and force them to conform to a group mentality. It's totally ineffective though because people like me don't care what you think, we just amuse ourselves running trolls in circles to highlight their stupidity and also because I have literally never posted once on Reddit so I had to ask google how the interface works. It's kinda funny retarded.

HOWEVER... There are more interesting topics to discuss, such as;

How are we actually going to construct a landing pad on the moon? Micrometeorite showers. Immense temperature fluctuations. Radiation exposure. Limited materials. Would concrete be suitable even if we could use it there?

Where should it even be built? Access to minerals, sites for telescopes, access to energy and water... Does it have to be built in the aitkin basin?
