Keep an eye on it. Work out ways of knowing if things are going wrong. Titrate medication accordingly. Olanzapine is good and gets things under control quickly but has the worst side-effect profile, in terms of weight gain. Some are worse for drowsiness.

Small doses are better. Work out what's needed to get things under control.

That's what people do in cultures that accept hallucinations and the like as a totally normal part of the mental experience. Take your meds, there are a lot of alternatives if the one you're taking gives you too many undesirable side effects. You can't reality-check delusional symptoms because if you could they wouldn't be delusions. There's no shame in asking a professional for help and it makes you less likely to do stuff you will regret in the future.

I took a acid and shrooms after mental hospital treatement..


All acid did. Was I seen beams of light stretch a bit further out. Nothing close to what other people describe... what hallucinations are..

And shrooms is auditory... while most argue it is visual... I didn't really hear anything.. and people that were suppose to "watch me" as I tripped all went to sleep... and I walked to a gas station to buy a drink.. the only thought on my mind 3 hours in was... "if i start tripping will i freak out? "..

Only thing i did before mental hospitals was smoke weed/studied. And got drunk on my 18th birthday. I didn't even smoke weed before taking anatomy/biology... I asked the teacher what it really did.. and he said it sends signals to the dopamine synapses... which are the same synapses used for learning.. when you enjoy a process wether learning/exercise.. your dopamine levels increase. It's the way your brain encourages you to do so something...

Only done acid 3 times. And shrooms once. There isn't really anything special about drugs... they aren't scary.... just handle your shit.. anyone who cries "I didn't mean to... I was high" is just a man child that lost the ability to take responsibility for their actions.

Sadly yes. I just have a hard time grasping punctuation. Commas, colons, and other objects used to structure sentences.

When I speak.. I do not imagine using all these little devices as utter sentences. But I do attempt to properly spell they're their and there and use them in the proper context.

Just baffling how some people were taught to such a degree. That they can spit out perfect sentences day in and day out. I don't know.. could never rap my head around it. I do not argue medicine is pointless...

But I had never experienced a headache in my life. Before "antipsychotics" and the first headache I experienced was 3weeks after taking like I was prescribed.. it was a migrane so utterly intense it felt like my brain was splitting in two. Or a blood vessel had burst and I feared to sleep until the pain subsided. About 2 days later.

And anytime I brought up an issue and then seen it was a side effect of the medicine. The doctors said it was because of my weight. Or that i was acting... so damned if I do damned if I don't.

And 5 years later.. the SSI psychiatrist/psychologist said I was cured of schizophrenia.... and the only highlight of that conversation was.. I said "i am malcontent" she asked what does that mean. I said " I am content but not as much as I would like to be". And I wasn't taking the medicine...

So??? Where does that leave me at in the spectrum of reality?

And I never applied for disability.. just a half way house did.. on my behalf. So they could control my income. And when I left I was income of my finances for 5 years.. paying rent and buying food. Which I was apparently incapable of doing.. as well as incapable of working a job... but the issue with obtaining a job is simply getting an interview.. and passing the interview.. and since I was smoking I had to apply for jobs that didn't mandate a drug test. Also the entire time I was on disability I applied for jobs. Because a job has better income then disability.

I personally want 2 part jobs that share the same 3 days. So that I can work 48 hours in 3 days and have 4 days... to complete house chores and or have free time... but alas no job really wants to give part time hours.. like 24 hours a week.. because it is easier to manage 40 hour shifts... then juggle around part time hours.

.... yeah they also told me a guy in the hospital who was locked up for 20 years of his life.. wrote a book about schizophrenia.. and when they send you to a "class" to describe your disease they drew neurons and synapses.. and when they asked what does it mean.. I raised my hand.. but they didn't acknowledge it.. so I blurted out a miss fire of the synapses and said "correct i was just about to explain it".. so the man who was in there for 20 years... was able to rifgt a book based on the disease... because doctors and nurses kept giving him information about the disease every week. Also in another place.. they had a class that asked us did we know where we was.. I said yes. They asked how did I know. I pointed to the folder they handed out it had a map of the region the hospital was located at. And when they asked.. do you know what your wrist bracelet means.. I said yes.. "it is colour coordinated to the section of the hospital you are designated to" and he then said well that was the whole point of the 30minute class. And I summed it up in 5 minutes.

I am not going to read about the shizophrenia disease... if a leading author behind it was schizophrenic himself. Sorry if my biased judgment doesn't allow me to follow the descriptions of a mentally debilitating disease written by a person with that mentally debilitating disease.

I had psychosis, psychiatrist wanted me on meds for a year but I still had some self-awareness left and as the meds started to kick in I noticed my psychotic symptoms getting way worse, like sounds would loop in my head over and over, delusions were coming back etc. I also read about the brain damage caused by anti-psychotics and was like "nope. What actually fixed it, was.. exercise, sleep, diet and meditation. I'm over a year free of prescribed psychotropics, my previous anxiety and depression have been cured thru the aforementioned methods and I still abuse weed and do psychs occasionally.

What helps is simply drinking water and exercising... there is no "fix it" pill.

And I won't purposefully take medicines that will cause me suffering.. sorry there is no convincing me other wise. I will take vitamins or antibiotics or steroids when prescribed. Or insulin if I get diabetes. But I don't wish to take mild altering drugs as a daily ritual... I haven't done acid or shrooms in years.. and I did those psychedelics after years of trying shizo medicine. The shizo medicine hurt my brains.. my brains no want to be hurt.. Many people who are schizophrenic believe that and many people who aren't also believe that due to their culture. Maybe some schizophrenic/drugged out people thousands of years ago convinced a lot of other people of the personal relationship with a deity thing, and it's lived on through culture.

So, it just depends on exactly how strong your belief is and what your literal experience is. If you're hearing specific "instructions" or "commands" or "thought intrusions" on a regular basis, or believe that you're a prophet or something, it's probably a psychotic condition like schizophrenia. I think the medical knowledge about the subject matter is just vague enough to hold the treating psychiatrist accountable by their respective treatment philosophies.
