Really smart young men, in my experience, are often really socially awkward because they haven't figured out yet that being pretentious with your intelligence and style of speaking is a turn off. I used to talk like I was in a Shakespeare play and in retrospect it makes me wish I could go back in time and shoot myself in the head. But the problem is a lot of people interpret any sign of interest in esoteric subjects as arrogance, or pretentiousness. It's not like I went around saying "heh, you're a bunch of dumbasses for not being interested in particle physics like me". I just naturally ended up trying to talk to people about it and they thought it was weird and avoided me. I don't think "talking like a dweeb" is the cause for why intelligent men tend to have less sex. I think it's more that the greater male variability which causes almost all of the smartest people in the world to be men makes other biological things wonky as well - just being out on the extremes, more stuff is off from the average. The same fucky genes causing a great brain leave a trace in the face's features being disproportionate, asymmetrical, etc. But women are basically sheep, feeling extreme social pressure to conform to what other women in their friend group/society at large think is attractive, which is men who have lots of "averageness" in their genes - good health, height, etc, coming from high hetereozygosity. Really hot men often look physically generic compared to people who have demonstrated they possess high cognitive ability, and often have similarly neurotypical personalities - Chads are by and large shallow and boring, it's true. Very high intelligence often seems to come at the cost of unusual, recessive genes being expressed.
