Want to be a lowly taxi driver? You'll probably never use algebra in your life. If you want to be a broker, or a software engineer, or a physicist, or an engineer, or even an economist, you'll need to know math.

but if you're able to post on 4chan you should be able to understand the value of increasingly """"complex"""" levels of math in daily life

yes, it has diminishing returns. arithmetic is the must useful, algebra is slightly less useful, calculus is a little less useful than that

but even just understanding what derivatives and integrals are are extremely beneficial if you think about things mathematically at all in any way at any point
