The droneship live feed always cuts out because the engine causes vibrations on the ship, which causes the uplink antenna to lose it's target.
Simple to fix by having a second ship nearby to relay the feed to via an omnidirectional antenna, but a few seconds of live video isn't worth the cost of having a second ship out there.

When they do a full return to dry land the signal is usually stable.

Next Falcon Heavy launch is set for Nov/Dec this year by the way.

>> No.9991900

next launch is a re-used block 5, B1048. Payload will be SAOCOM-1A, which is an Argentinian earth sensing sat.
It will be the very first RTLS (land-landing) at Vandenberg!

If any anons live in CA I would recommend going down to see the stage return back to land. Should be pretty neat

and it will also be another fairing recovery attempt, weather permitting

The launch pad and landing pad aren't visible from public viewing areas in CA. You may see the rocket go up and down but not as well as in KSC.

Also weather is usually horrible in Vandy with fog.

Pretty sure there's going to be some traffic fatalities in CA if they do that at dawn/dusk.

What’s with Russians and odd mistakes with manufacturing? It reminds me of the Proton failure where the guidance module was HAMMERED IN backwards, even though it was designed to only go in the correct way

Elon Musk is going to be seen as an icon of the 2010s in the same way that Howard Hughes is of the 1930s. He is the establishment.
