Ever since I was a kid I've wanted to work at NASA. For the past four years since I've graduated from college, I've not received so much as a phone interview for all my applications (I'm a mechanical engineer). Does anyone on /sci/ work at NASA? What advice would you give to someone like me who dreams of working there?

Worl for absolutely anyone else
NASA is a worthless bureaucratic shitshow that has achieved fuck all since the 70s
It's all pork programs and corruption now
Private industry is the future

NASA positions are filled via USAJobs. If you want to work for NASA, get a gubmint job, any gubmint job. Once you are a federal employee, you now have preference over pretty much everyone else when it comes to applying for other federal jobs, IE NASA. So you do some time at some other agency for a few years and transfer in.

You could try mailing them a bomb. That might get you noticed.

Fucking this. I work with NASA on a daily basis and while it's true they do have some really smart people there, most are retarded bureaucrats. Even they acknowledge their organization is a bloated monstrosity.

Why rovers in particular
Why not something of value instead?
