What none STEM college degrees does /sci/ respect?

or atleast find beneficial to society

or at the very least not think of as absolute garbage.

>if you didnt go stem where would you have went?

Threadly reminder that one of the symptoms of autism is a pathological compulsion to stack, sort, and rank things.

Probably finance, but that might be a cheat depending on how quantitative the work gets.

Otherwise, something related to philosophy or film to get a broad base for creative work.

Yes and?

English or history, but only at elite universities

Law, but I am ideologically opposed to it (legal systems are basically glorified corruption since it's usually a battle of 'who can buy the best legal team')

Nothing is beneficial enough to society compared to STEM

Architechture and other art/music related stuff. Even though these are creative, learning it can't be that bad, just like reading and writing papers will make you a researcher in STEM you still gain something from going to classes once in a while and learning from others evolving the ecosystem. The ones that I don't like are the ones that require soft skills

well i guess you're entitled to your own opinion, and im entitled to think otherwise

so i guess we can go ahead and agree to disagree,
but instead ill just call you a faggot and say your opinion is wrong, this is /sci/ after all

I value art, philosophy, architecture, painting, writing, literature, history, music, etc. But I don't value any of those degrees, especially undergrad. I probably value lit and history the most. As subjects they're great, but they simply don't require as much brainpower as something like physics

>philosophy over Law, CS, PoliSci, and Foreign Language
ffs, even majoring in a foreign language will allow you to get some comfy job as an ESL somewhere.. wtf does a philosophy degree do for anyone?

Social Work is a very respectable thing to study. I was never sure why you needed so much education for it, but we definitely need more dedicated social workers.
