Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought EDTA was administered to fight a large, acutr oral intake of heavy metal and for chronic exposure requires other treatment because EDTA will chelate a whole bunch of other shit in your body (ex have fun being anemic now), IV being much more damaging since now it's taking everything out of your blood
