Are there two "types" of people in mathematics? I have heard them described as:

Intuitionists and Logicians ("Intuition and Logic in Mathematics" by Poincare)
Problem Solvers and Theory Builders ("Two Cultures of Mathematics" by Gowers)

And do you suppose there is a link between these types and platonism/formalism?
