I have never done science. I hate my life. I should have done STEM. Do you think I can do a STEM degree with no experience. Something easy like geology or something? (its just rocks). I hate my life so much.

Dunno man, gonna start studying biomed next year. It seem hard as fuck to get a actual job as researcher in any stem field so i dont know if life would be that much easier for you if you had a stem degree. Both my dad and his brother got phds in zoology and geology and i cant say they got rich from it or ever got to work with the research they wanted...

You probably need to be a prodigy at what you are doing or do something else that doesnt have research as end goal.

Kek. You people are not understanding OP. He studied liberal arts! That means he has huge bourgeoise tendencies, probably lives in a middle-class area with his middle-class parents. The reason he wants STEM is that other than making good money, it has a certain intellectual prestige that is recognized by the bourgeoisie. But a trade? For these people, trades are what Trump supporters do. They are beneath them. OP would rather suck dick than work a real job.

I'm going to assume you're serious and not just trolling.

The easiest STEM majors are just as useless as your stupid liberal arts degree. I got two degrees in math (bachelor's and master's) and a minor in Electrical Engineering. Now I work as a software engineer. I've never worked in service industry. I'll list off some tips.
>1) Trade school
If you want to make money, just go to a fucking trade school and get a real job. Get your head out of your ass in thinking that in order to make $45k you need a college degree. Seriously, what kind of bullshit is that?
>2) Assuming no trade school...
Probably the first thing you should get into your head: the reason STEM is valuable is because most people are terrible at it and fail, so good workers are scarce. You're probably not different. Getting a degree will be difficult and you will probably not like it. The reason minimum wage jobs exist is because literally any idiot could do what you do.
>3) If a STEM job pays, that major major has Math in it.
Any job that pays well and has security in STEM will rely on the M part quite a bit, at least for your college courses. Meaning you will have to learn a lot of math. When I see students, the trend is pretty clear. The less math and more blind memorization they have, the harder it is for them. If you don't like math, you will be miserable in school. That said your job will probably have less math after graduation.

>>9939364
Yeah, I get that you're probably right. Hell I have 2 degrees and a minor and it only cost me $40k. I have no idea how OP spent so much money on something so useless. They probably have no ability to analyze their situation and finances.

If you don't love it then seriously man, don't do it. Getting a BSc in Geology might mean you get to be a lab schlep running tests all day for shit wages. If you want to move up you need a Masters - now you're in for a total of 6-8 years of your life before it can even begin. Doing something that you've never had the slightest interest in, because it might make some money maybe possibly. Dumb decision.

If you don't care, look at trades. Electricians and plumbers make more money, faster than any STEM will do - sure you might make six figures once you hit 40 in STEM but you could have been doing the same for a decade already as an electrician. If money is all it's about, don't fuck up your life with science. It's a hard and unrewarding road unless you love it to start with.

I have come to the realization that it is extremely easy to become rich if you live in a first world country. For the purposes of my argument, assume that you have the lowest level of human intelligence impossible as to rule out the privilege of being a genius:

As a kid:
>Make sure to pass all of your classes, doesn't matter with what grade. Just don't repeat.
>Try to have a clean record, a couple of detentions here and there are okay. Nothing bigger than that.
>Don't do drugs or fall for other jewish tricks like fancy shoes
>graduate high school at the expected age
College:
>Use your average test scores to get into an average university
>major in the high paying fields that exist in engineering or business. These fluctuate so you will need to do at least one google search.
>get average grades
>graduate without honors or anything, but be sure that you graduate in 4 years.
post-education:
>get literally any job in your industry, settle for only a small percentage error below the average salary. Don't expect 6 figures but also don't let someone hire you for peanuts. Let's assume that you get 70k, which is a low estimate assuming you picked the right engineering or business
>Don't spend too much, try to save up as much of your salary
>Once you have a significant amount of money (just a couple of years) go into your bank and ask them to just sign you into those literal 0 risk investments that also have low-interest rate but if you have good money, generate a nice bonus.
>repeat this until you are 30

And there, you are now probably a millionaire and we have assumed that you did not take a single risk in your life. You just did things that were guaranteed to succeed. Now, if you have a little intelligence then you can get creative. Instead of going for 0 risk investments with your bank, why not just take out all of your money and start giving out payday loans or similar ventures? They are riskier, but short-term loans almost never fail. And go up from there.
