Daily shower is okay, and necessary for proper hygiene in certain climates. However:

Why is everyone suggesting we shower every day?

I shower once a month. I was told that your body mostly washes itself which is why ancient humans didn't smell and is why animals don't smell. I was told that you should shower once a month because it defogs your eyes. I don't smell though, I am sure of it.

I'd say it depends, whether you sweat, what kind of climate are you living in, do you exercise. If a person doesn't sweat much, lives a sedentary life in cooler climate then there's no reason for that person to shower every day.

My sweat smells sweet and spicy because I have a good diet. I only shower like twice a week, otherwise I just rinse my face off in the sink.
