Scientifically speaking, how many pitbulls would it take to kill a fully grown male Kodiak bear (weighing up to 680kg)?

About 85 pitbulls.
One bear swipe is enough to kill 1-5 of them at a time.

3 if they are trained to hunt bears

Just enough to tire the bear from killing and then eat her alive, 90 would do the job

A human baby weights 15kg. You do the math.

It probably needs to be fed more food in a day than you. Plus, I bet they take massive shits.

>> No.9926811

if a single well-placed bite to the neck is enough to impede the breathing of the bear, then you might only need a low number like >>9925367
However if they are unable to significantly stop breathing and their only way of killing the bear is to make it die of exhaustion or a large number of bites to its limbs and torso, then easily 50+

Also, even in the first case where a pitbull bite could substantially block the bear's windpipe, it could be that the bear is able to evade and prevent such attacks from being successful unless there are large numbers of pittbulls attacking at once.

Scientifically speaking, you would set up a series of experiments where you put bears up against increasing numbers of pitbulls, including a control where you just leave the bear alone to gauge the probability of it just randomly dying on its own.

I'm pretty sure I could take a bear
I'm 6'1/2", 205 lbs, trained two years bjj and muay tai.
It would charge me, I'd distract it with an elbow to the nose then swing around behind it, lock my legs around it's neck and choke it out.

Like 3. A male and a couple females as insurance. It's just one bear guys.

Variables:
Kodiak bear Lifespan: 28 years
Pitbull lifespan: 12 years
>Fully grown bear
Fullsize age of Kodiak bears: 6 years

The pitbulls only have to get two maybe three generations of litters and it's GG boys.

I have 100 acres and I already have a trained black bear as a pet. It's only trained in the sense that it loves people and can do so relatively simple commands such as sit and wave, but I need something more mean to take care of all the shit that comes around my property.

Long story short, he was living peacefully with some bears for 13 years, with absolutely no problem, and then one day a bear just killed him with no provocation.

Bears are recorded killing tigers, lions, and moose in one hit. Pitbulls are fucked mate. Also bears fat and skin is going to be too thick for a dog to get a good clamp on their neck. The bear can just stand up, grab the dog, and rip it off while losing some fur. They bite each other in the face all the time and barely do damage.

Now a pack of trained pitbulls who harry one until exaustion could win that way.

He's my pet and part of the family, what would you have me do? It's not like I force him to live here, he has no cage, no collar or leash of any kind and stays on his own accord.

I do understand that some things in life are inherently more dangerous but if you live as a sheltered man you will never experience anything worth living for.
