so i had a thought and i need someone smarter than me to tell me why it wont work.

would it be possible to make an anti gravity device by spinning a disk at a high enough speed that its outer edges exceed orbital velocity?

>> No.9920347

your disc would explode first

also that's not how orbital velocity works. you need your velocity directed in one direction into an orbit around the earth, just having a fast spinning disc at ground level won't do anything

A circular, plasma filled accelerator ring called the Magnetic Field Disrupter, surrounds the rotatable crew compartment and is far ahead of any imaginable technology... The plasma, mercury based, is pressurized at 250,000 atmospheres at a temperature of 150 degrees Kelvin, and accelerated to 50,000 rpm to create a super-conductive plasma with the resulting gravity disruption.

This is what some people theorize powers those triangles/saucers people see in the sky all the time.

whether we can make a disk or ring that survives the G forces doesn't really matter since this is hypothetical
>>9920350
this sounds like an entirely different thing to what im talking about, im literally just talking about a hypothetical ring that spins to exceed orbital velocity.

It's not a stupid idea.
Keep going.
Theoretically the Military industrial complex were playing with MFDs in the 60s right?
What else could Astronaut Gordon Cooper have seen and took photos of at Edwards airforce base?

Or he could have just been lying.
lots of interesting theoretical stuff on arxiv
Dive in.

we have all the theories and equations written on paper. its is all there we just need to create a working prototype which I am pretty sure the MIC has already done.

i.e Lockheed Skunkworks, Northrop Grumman classified corporate files, Pentagon Black Projects etc.

You really think trillions of dollars just go missing and the pentagon doesn't know where it went?

spooky shit.

so you guys think it is hypothetically possible then?
if it is actually possible it could probably be tested easily on the moon, the orbital velocity would be low enough that the ring wouldnt have to spin very fast

Preaching to the choir anon.
There's $24trillion unaccounted for in the US budgets to the Pentagon from 1998 up until today 2018 ($21trilion from 2000)

I would absolutely love to know what these private firms are working on. Publicly we know they have projects 15years ahead of disclosure.
An example of that being the F-117 which first flew in '77 as a prototype but was only acknowledged in 91.
Or BAE's Taranis which was rumoured to be prototyped in the early 00s.

Gary McKinnon who did the biggest hack of all time on US DoD, and NASA, said he saw:
-huge hangars with cigar shaped crafts
-ship-to-ship non-terrestrial officer transfers.
Believing these to be part of of project 'Solar Warden'.

It sounds made up like it belongs in /x/.
Either Mckinnon was lying, or what he saw was true.
If what he saw was true,
either it was real, or a fake NASA honeypot.
If it was real wow!?!

Project Orion
>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Orion_(nuclear_propulsion)
was the first look at this in the 1950s.

Surely there has to be something to it.
Either that, or someone has been getting rich for no reason,

The more we know about quantum mechanics the better grasp we may have on these topics.

In theory the most efficient way would be to create a field around a craft that can mitigate the effects of gravity and friction. Some people proposed that a mercury plasma that is accelerated in a small ring within a craft with the correct pressure and temperature can reduce the gravity placed on the object by 90%. The only thing is no one quite knows who to get that specific plasma that can withstand the temperature and pressure.

old video and very /x/ but he does go into the physics behind it vaguely.
