How did a paper like this even get published in such a prominent journal of physics?

>Great Pyramid of Giza can focus pockets of energy in its chamber, scientists say

Why shouldn't it?

Because it has wrong results. I mena think about it. If we allow people to challenge our preconceptions about the world, all kinds of chaos will be unleashed. New textbooks have to be printed. New lectures have to be prepared. Old models of the world have to be abandoned and new ones developed.

Because it gives /x/ legitimacy? Do you know just how many dozens of conspiracy theories there are out there that have been claiming exactly this sort of phenomenon with the Pyramids? Heck it makes even Ancient Alien theorists more credible now.

If anything suppressing reasearch such as this one would give conspiracy theories legitimacy.

What is the option? To allow research into unacceptable ideas? We are not always going to get the correct result.

So, no result is wrong, you just don't like the idea of people doing this kind of research.

If this study has any amount of accuracy, then maybe you should be quiet. Sage

Umm because it is? APL is still in the top 30 (out of 34171 journals) ranked by the H index

Anything /x/: energy healing, magick, telepathy, anything involving the word conciousness, ESP, blessings, mediumship etc. Just go read the studies and the reaosn is obvious.

We can keep young scientists from researching this by making sure their careers are over if they do, but there are tend, maybe hundreds of tenured, established professors doing studies on this. Those people even have their organizations where they discuss all kinds of crazy shit.

as long as the study is done rigorously and results are repeatable I see no problems in studying "abnormal" phenomena.

the problem is most quacks either through incompetence or by intent have really shitty quality standards (otherwise the "supernatural" phenomenon they were studying would just be a natural phenomenon studied by mainstream scientists of all persuasions)

Then tell us how the example study is one of the latter types of studies.

tial removing of unreasonable speculations about electromag-
netic properties of the Great Pyramid and the demonstration of
flexibility of the multipole decomposition method for research
at both nano- and macro-scales.
There's nothing /x/ about the study. They just wanted to play with math, and chose an interestingly shaped scattering target for their simulation tests.

There are thousands of such studies. Repeated several times, quadruble blind, done by respected academics with experience in designing studies.

You just haven't read any of them. And probably never will.

Don't be silly. You're forgetting about the aliens. Frankly I've had enough of this board's disingenuousness.
