The thing is we can not maintain our way of life without privatizing the third world, third worlders adopting a consumerist lifestyle is necessary for us to be able to exploit third world resources. The reason population booms happen,is because of privatization of infastructure and land for the international market, which gives people access to global supply chains and thus allows them to consume far beyond there means, and allows land to be overexpolited without immediate consequences to the people that live there. Want to stop over population? Make nestle give traditional farmers there lands back, people will move away from the slums, and international markets.
